Program Description:




Students taking this course will get a behind-the-scenes look at various fashion and retail companies and have the opportunity to question the designers, merchandising and marketing experts about their work and career options. The tour includes institutional and company visits, museums, designers, manufacturer showrooms, seminars with fashion experts and more! Plus, there will be time to see the sights of NYC, catch a Broadway play and enjoy the Big City nightlife!

Location:  New York City, New York

New York city is the prime place for fashion. Its the home of small designer boutiques and corporate faces. Take a glimpse inside America's exciting fashion hub and learn for yourself what it's like to be at the center of it all!


Minimum 2.0 cumulative GPA 
Completion of at least one academic semester at UW-Stout at the time of participation
Good academic & behavioral standing
Course Information:
Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive 1 credit for BURTL-419: National Study Tour

Accommodation: Students will be housed together (4 in a room) at the Hotel Edison in Times Square. The cost of the hotel is in the program fee. 

Meals: One group dinner is included in the program fee. Participants will be responsible for purchasing all other meals throughout the program.  

Travel: Airfare and transportation to and from the hotel is included in the program fee. Local transportation during the week will be paid out of pocket by the participant.
