United Kingdom - University of Hertfordshire (Exchange)
University of Hertfordshire is located just outside of London on a green campus with excellent learning, residential and sports facilities.
United Kingdom - Northbrook (Exchange)
Northbrook has impressive art and design studios and workshops equipped for working with a wide range of media including ceramics, wood, metal, glass, textiles, film, photography, digital media, and computer graphics.
Germany - Fachhochschule Hildesheim (Exchange)
The UW-Stout School of Art and Design and Fachhochschule Hildesheim/Holzminden (HAWK) have established a student exchange, which swaps UW-Stout students with German HAWK students. The focus of the HAWK program is on art and design studio classes.
Italy - Lorenzo De Medici LdMis one of Italy’s most comprehensive, well-established international study abroad institutions. In addition to the main campus in Florence, students also have the opportunity to study at one of LdM’s campuses located in Rome, Tuscania, or Venice.
Featured Short-Term Programs:
United Kingdom - London Summer Art - This program offers students an opportunity to study painting and drawing in London and Dalkeith and Edinburgh, Scotland. Classes in acrylic painting, watercolor and pastel drawing will be the basis for exploring color work in outdoor studies such as cityscapes and landscapes.
Italy - Art History and Photography - This program will begin in Florence continue to Villa Pieve in Corciano. Students will embark on day trips to explore Medieval cities such as Arezzo, Assisi, Cortona, Perugia, San Gimignano, and Siena. Finally, the group will return to Rome where students will trace a path of Western Civilization from the ancient Etruscans and Roman Empire through the rise of church and state into the modern era.
France - Color Studio - This course is designed to develop student awareness of color sensibilities by studying color and geography and exploring the varied light qualities of Paris and Southern France. Learning will also be enhanced through applied color design exercises.
