DAAD Strategic Partnership Project Hochschule Darmstadt

The University of Wisconsin-Stout is one of five U.S. universities selected to be a part of the DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) Strategic Partnership Project with Hochschule Darmstadt University of Applied Sciences (h_da) in Darmstadt, Germany. The grant runs from 2015-2018 and is nearly $1,000,000. The grant will provide many scholarship opportunities for our students and faculty through exchanges, research, and lecturing which will strengthen the partnership between our universities.

DAAD Strategic Partnership Faculty Admin Program Options

Applications are accepted on a rolling basis but must be submitted at least 2 months in advance of the proposed visit – you may apply now to participate through 2018. To apply for any of the programs, please complete and submit the following materials:
 
  • DAAD Application
  • CV
  • One to two page statement addressing the following:
    • Why do you want to participate in your chosen program?
    • What are your goals for the program?
    • What is your previous or current relationship with h_da (if any)? 
    • How will you plan to develop and sustain relationships with the faculty at h_da?  
    • What will you do to recruit students from h_da to come to UW-Stout?  
    • How will the experience enhance your professional career? 
  • Statement of support from h_da faculty if you are already in communication with a faculty member (optional)
  • Email Statement of Support from UW-Stout Department Chair (send to Andria Morse at morsea@uwstout.edu)
  • Email Statement of Support from UW-Stout College Dean (send to Andria Morse at morsea@uwstout.edu)
  • Explanation of funding to supplement travel costs if needed

1. Statement of course proposal / activities and your reasons for selecting these courses / activities.
2. List of courses previously taught (may be incorporated into C.V. or listed separately)



Faculty-Led Programs
 
You may submit the above materials before submitting the Faculty-Led Proposal. Once you have been accepted, you can then submit the Proposal per the deadlines.
